When should a business choose custom software?
Custom software is worth evaluating when essential workflows, integrations, or performance requirements cannot be met sensibly with an existing product. Discovery compares those constraints with the cost of building and maintaining a dedicated system.
Can you extend an existing application?
Yes. We start by reviewing the architecture, data model, tests, and infrastructure, then propose incremental changes based on the risks and the business priorities.
How is a custom software project scoped?
Discovery defines the workflows, integrations, constraints, and acceptance criteria. The resulting technical plan is used to agree milestones and commercial scope before implementation.
Does the project include source code?
Standard engagements include use of the custom software under the project agreement, but do not include source-code access or transfer of intellectual property. Source-code delivery and additional rights can be negotiated separately and priced in the project agreement. Access to source code does not by itself grant resale or redistribution rights.

Software usage rights, hosting, maintenance, data export, and arrangements at the end of the engagement are defined in the written project agreement.
