AI Integration: your questions answered.

Can AI use our internal documentation?
Yes. A retrieval-based integration can use selected internal sources to supply context for answers. The design must account for source quality, access permissions, updates, and how answers are evaluated.
How do you evaluate an AI integration?
We define representative tasks and expected behavior, then use an evaluation set to compare changes. The evaluation criteria depend on the workflow and can include groundedness, correctness, failure handling, latency, and cost.
Do guardrails guarantee that AI answers are correct?
No. Retrieval, evaluations, and guardrails help manage errors but do not eliminate them. The system needs a response to uncertainty, appropriate human review, and monitoring based on the consequences of a mistake.
Does the project include source code?
Standard engagements include use of the custom software under the project agreement, but do not include source-code access or transfer of intellectual property. Source-code delivery and additional rights can be negotiated separately and priced in the project agreement. Access to source code does not by itself grant resale or redistribution rights.

Software usage rights, hosting, maintenance, data export, and arrangements at the end of the engagement are defined in the written project agreement.
